About Horse-Lake Farm

Horse-Lake Farm came into existence in 1997, after we moved from Newark, Ohio to Richmond, Texas.  Our draft horse experience began with 2 Belgians, and has now grown to 8 Clydesdales. Over the years we have become a valued source of draft horse knowledge in the gulf coast of Texas. We have been members of the Texas Draft Horse and Mule Assn for 15 years, with Steve holding offices as board member, Vice President and President. Danielle has been newsletter editor and annual show chairman. Sarah has represented the Association as it's youth representative for several years. We are also members of the Clydesdale Breeders Association. We are active in our community, belonging to the Sealy Chamber of Commerce. We are one of the most requested stops for CoC Tours !

Danielle has been a life-long horse-woman, starting with paint horses as a child, she has lived with horses most of her life. She is also the driving force behind our Mastiff program, combining a passion for excellence and a genuine love for the breed.

Steve was the 'reason' we are in drafts...namely Clydesdales. The seed for the passion occurred many years ago, after seeing the Budweiser hitch, and vowing to some day.....

If you are a fan of Animal Cops Houston, you will see Steve, as well as daughter Sarah, on many episodes of the popular show. Steve was the farrier for the Houston SPCA for about 8 years, and Sarah worked for awhile in the barn, before decideing to make Steve and Danielle grand-parents!
If you are interested in becoming a Corporate Sponsor for Horse-Lake Farm, please contact us. We provide an excellent advertising opportunity, as well as the ability to bring allot of attention to Corporate Events. Nothing draws a crowd like a team of Clydesdales ! We travel to several major state fairs every year, as well as many parades.

UPDATE: As of August1st, 2013, we are now located back in Newark, Ohio.
