About Horse-Lake Farm
Horse-Lake Farm began in the small town of Richmond, Texas in 1997. It grew from my original purchase of 2 Clydesdales into 12 at my highest point.

In addition to breeding and training Clydesdales, I am a farrier. I started out apprentincing and learning on my own horses. When word got out that there was a draft horse farrier around, my business exploded with clients.

I was the farrier for the Houston SPCA from 2004 through 2012. I was also the farrier for the Houston Mounted Patrol, prior to their decision to go shoeless with their horses.

I was a member of the Texas Draft Horse and Mule Association, serving on the Board of Directors as well as the Vice President and the President.

In addition to Clydesdales, I am also a breeder of Mastiffs. My love affair with Mastiffs began when I went to a dog show in Houston Texas, and met another breeder, who asked me to hold one of her dogs while she showed another. By the time she got back, I was on the floor hugging a wonderful dog !

In August 2013, I left Texas to head back to Ohio. I now live on a 23 acre farm in Mount Vernon, Ohio. My herd consists of 6 Clydesdales and one miniature horse !
